Belgium C&I energy storage system installation with ECO-E107WS PCS

Project Overview

In a small-to-medium manufacturing park in Belgium, Anengji successfully deployed a high-efficiency 100kW/214kWh Commercial & Industrial (C&I) energy storage system, featuring two ECO-E107WS Power Conversion Systems (PCS). This project seamlessly integrates rooftop solar PV, local Time-of-Use (ToU) electricity tariffs, and grid stability requirements. By enabling solar self-consumption, energy arbitrage, and emergency backup power, the system significantly enhances the facility’s energy autonomy, economic efficiency, and operational resilience.

Detailed Application Scenarios

1. Maximizing Solar Self-Consumption

The facility is equipped with an 80kWp rooftop solar PV system. Previously, excess generation during midday peaks was sold back to the grid at unfavorable feed-in tariffs. Our lithium ion battery energy storage solution captures this surplus green energy and dispatches it during evening peaks or cloudy periods.

Result: Boosted the PV self-consumption rate from under 50% to over 85%, maximizing the value of renewable assets.

2. Time-of-Use (ToU) Energy Arbitrage

Belgium utilizes dynamic pricing mechanisms (such as the Agile Tariff under the Elia network), where peak hour rates (17:00–21:00) can be 2–3 times higher than off-peak. The Anengji EMS automatically charges the system during low-cost intervals and discharges to power production machinery during expensive peaks.

Financial Impact: Annual electricity savings exceeding €12,000, with an estimated ROI (Payback Period) of 5.5 years.

3. Critical Backup Power (UPS Function)

To mitigate the risk of grid instability in Europe, the system provides a seamless transition to off-grid mode within 20 milliseconds. This ensures uninterrupted power for critical loads, including CNC machines, servers, and emergency lighting, preventing costly production downtime and data loss.

Core Project Advantages

  • Three-in-One Integrated Value: A single investment solves three pain points: renewable utilization, electricity cost optimization, and power supply security.
  • Tailored for European C&I Standards: The ECO-E107WS PCS is fully compliant with EU safety standards, including CE, CB, and EN 62477. It supports direct 400V low-voltage industrial grid connection with a compact footprint for flexible installation.
  • Intelligent Energy Management (EMS): The built-in Anengji EMS coordinates PV, BESS, and grid interaction automatically, featuring remote monitoring and fault alerts via a dedicated mobile App.
  • Superior Safety & Cycle Life: Utilizing Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry combined with advanced thermal management, the system offers over 6,000 cycles. It has passed the rigorous UL 9540A thermal runaway fire test, ensuring long-term operational safety.
  • Driving ESG & Decarbonization: Reduces carbon emissions by approximately 85 tons annually, enhancing the brand’s “Green Factory” image and aligning with the EU’s “Fit for 55” and CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) requirements.
